Speedy Stop faced significant challenges with site downtime due to the reliability issues of their incumbent payment and fuel management hardware. Additionally, their existing infrastructure, constrained by an out-of-the-box point-of-sale (POS) solution, lacked the flexibility needed for optimal performance. A robust POS system is essential for managing sales transactions, inventory, and customer interactions efficiently, acting as the brain of the store.
To address these challenges, Speedy Stop sought a more flexible, resilient, and future-proof infrastructure without the need for a costly full POS hardware replacement. They required a software vendor that was hardware agnostic and experienced in virtualizing other retail vendor POS systems. Speedy Stop will now run NCR Voyix’s latest POS software on their incumbent Verifone hardware.
